CHEQUE GUARANTEE
RAS offers its
Cheque Guarantee service to all South African Businesses. We understand all to well that the current economic climate is impacting on all businesses and their financial
risk has escalated dramatically in recent times. This solution together with our outstanding service is guaranteed to minimise your cheque payment risk. It's affordable, flexible and above
all, risk free! You can now rest easy in the knowledge that your customers are not going to cost you revenue should their cheques be dishonoured. We assess your risk and once approved, we
guarantee it! It's that simple...
How it Works:
- Firstly, if you haven't signed up with RAS yet, complete our Merchant Application Form, effect payment and
email or fax it to RAS.
- When your customers present you with cheques as payment for goods or services, you ensure they complete RAS' Cheque Guarantee Consent Notes fully which we will supply to you, retain
it on file together with copies of the cheques.
- You phone in to RAS' Call Centre where you'll be requested details on the cheques. RAS will then assess it and if in order, furbish you with an Authorisation Code for the guarantee
which you then record on the Consent Note for future reference. If the guarantee is declined by RAS, you still have the option of accepting it as payment, but at your OWN RISK!
- The moment that your bank notifies you that a cheque payment has been referred to the drawer, you complete the Claim Form, forward it together with copies of the Consent Note and
cheque via email or fax it to RAS within 30 days.
- RAS will assess the claim and if approved, reimburse you within 60 days. RAS will automatically institute recovery procedures against the drawer of the cheque.
CHEQUE GUARANTEE FAQ'S
1. WHAT WILL THE SERVICE COST ME?
There is a Once Off Subscription fee of
R800 (excl VAT) and this includes
Online Credit Bureau Access as well as access to all our other services. Risk Assessment Services'
fee structure is based on risk factors and a sliding scale (see
Pricing Tab above). Every factor that contributes to the overall risk is assessed and the fee is calculated on a
percentage basis depending on the amount of the cheque.
2. WHEN WILL I BE PAID?
You will be reimbursed within 60 days after the claim has been received and approved.

CREDIT GUARANTEE
RAS presents its Credit Guarantee service to Businesses which offer their clients 30 Day Credit Facilities for goods or services. We understand all to well that the current economic climate
is adversely affecting Businesses which work on these payment terms and their financial risk has escalated dramatically in recent times. Our latest solution together with our outstanding
service is guaranteed to minimise your Credit Facility risk. It's affordable, flexible and above all, risk free! You can now rest easy in the knowledge that your clients are not going to
cost you your monthly payment income should they default. We assess your risk and once approved, we guarantee it on a month to month basis! It's that simple...
How it Works:
- Firstly, if you haven't signed up with RAS yet, complete our Merchant Application Form and email or fax it to RAS.
- You forward your client's fully completed application for Credit Facility to RAS via email or fax.
- Once these applications (including any Credit Bureau reports drawn and supporting documents), have been submitted to RAS, it will be assessed and if in order, approved within 24 hours.
Risk Assessment Services notifies you by issuing you with a Certificate together with an invoice for the first monthly fee payble.
- After inception, on the first day of each month during the Guarantee Period, you furbish RAS with a detailed statement of the particular client in order for RAS to determine the correct
monthly fee payable by your business.
- The moment your client fails to pay, you simply notify us. We will follow the client up for payment immediately. If unsuccessful, RAS will reimburse your loss or short-fall. Once we have
reimbursed you, your debtor's debt becomes recoverable solely by RAS and you may not offer them further credit facilities without RAS' written consent.
- Fees (see Pricing Tab above) are payable monthly in advance and work on a sliding scale dependant on the client's outstanding balance on the last day of every month.
- It works on a month-to-month basis and is re-assessable by RAS every month for as long as the credit facility runs. Ensure that you furbish RAS with your customer's payment profile or
statement by the end of each month for monitoring purposes.
- You can opt out at any time by notifying RAS and settling any due amounts.
CREDIT GUARANTEE FAQ'S

The monthly fee rates for
Credit Guarantee are based on the information supplied to us at the time of application, potential risk as well as the relevant background checks done by RAS.
Note: The fee payable is dependant on the RAS approved capital amount as well as the outstanding balance per detailed statement monthly thereafter - on a sliding scale. An administrative
fee of
R 105 (excl VAT) is applicable if an application is declined.
2. WHEN WILL I BE RE-IMBURSED?
You will be reimbursed in 6 weeks time after the debtor has defaulted, depending on the collection action taken by RAS.

PROPERTY RENTAL GUARANTEE (PRG)
RAS offers its
Property Rental Guarantee service to letting homeowners, estate agents and letting companies. We understand all to well that the current economic climate is impacting on the
property letting industry and financial risk has escalated dramatically in recent times. Our latest solution together with our outstanding service is guaranteed to minimise your rental income risk.
It's affordable, flexible and above all, risk free! You can now rest easy in the knowledge that your tenants are not going to cost you your monthly rental income should they default on their rent.
We assess your risk and once approved, we guarantee it on a month to month basis! It's that simple.
How it Works:
- Firstly, if you haven't signed up with RAS yet, you complete our Client Application Form, affect
payment (See options under FAQ's below) and email or fax it to RAS.
- You and the tenant complete your normal rent application form.
- Once these applications (including any Credit Bureau reports drawn and supporting documents), have been submitted to RAS, it will be assessed and if in order, approved within 12
hours. Risk Assessment Services notifies you of your property guarantee rate by issuing you with a Property Guarantee Certificate.
- You then complete a standard lease agreement and continue to deal with the tenant in normal way.
- The moment your tenant fails to pay, you simply notify us. We will follow the tenant up for payment immediately. If unsuccessful, RAS will reimburse your rent. Once we have reimbursed
you, the tenant's debt becomes recoverable solely by RAS.
- RAS will also inform you as to when it is necessary for you to initiate eviction procedures and upon which our guarantee will only be for a further 1 month.
- Fees can be paid either once off or monthly. Note: Monthly fees are payable in advance per Debit Order.
- Rental payments are guaranteed by Risk Assessment Services on a month-to-month basis. It is however re-assessable every month for as long as the same tenant contractually remains
responsible for payment and RAS therefore must be furbished with the tenants payment profile by the managing agent or landlord on a monthly basis.
- You can opt out at any time by notifying RAS and settling any amounts that may outstanding.
- Note that we are not specialists in the management of rental property portfolios. We merely assist in the approval of the tenant and guarantee the rental income once approved.

PRG FAQ'S
1. WHAT WILL THE SERVICE COST ME?
Once Off Subscription fee of R800 (excl VAT) which includes

PRG fee is payable in advance.
Risk Assessment Services' fee structure is based on risk factors. Every factor that contributes to the overall risk is assessed individually and a fee percentage is calculated accordingly.
The monthly fee rates for
PRG in both the above options are based on the information supplied to us at the time of application as well as the relevant background checks done by RAS.
The scale of the fee ranges from 4% to 7% (excl VAT) depending on the risk factored in by RAS. An administrative fee of
R 105 (excl VAT) is applicable if an application for
PRG
is declined. Monthly payments are strictly via debit order.
RAS offers flexible payment plan options, ranging from single unit property owners to clients with larger property portfolios. Clients can select a once-off payment option for the duration of
the lease, or advance monthly payments via debit order for their convenience.
2. WHEN WILL I BE PAID?
You will be reimbursed within 6 weeks after default by the tenant.
